The Council
DTA is managed by a Council of elected and appointed dental technicians. The Chief Executive runs the DTA head office and supports the activities of the association. Council consists of:
- 8 elected dental technicians
- 5 representatives from the specialist dental technology groups
Sub-committees
Executive Committee
Operational management of the Association is devolved to the Executive committee. Committee members are involved with maintaining and utilising the Associations finance’s appropriately as well as PR, membership services and attending meetings at national level. The Chief Executive oversees the day to day management of DTA. The committee meet every quarter either face to face or by teleconference.
Education and Training
The Education and Training committee are responsible for driving up standards within education to ensure that the current baseline qualification meets the needs of the industry. In addition, they oversee the development of CPD activities for dental technicians.
The current Chairman of this committee is John Stacey.
DTA head office
The Chief Executive is Sue Adams. She is responsible for the office, administration and support to the various sub-committies. She provides the first point of contact point for the members.
