In 2007 DTA introduced the concept of presenting Fellowships to individuals in recognition of their outstanding contribution to dental technology. The DTA are keen to recognise the selfless individuals within our membership who quietly make a difference.
An individual can be nominated for a number of reasons, such as:
- Maintained the dignity of the dental technology profession over a period of time;
- Striven to enhance the recognition, evidence and education of dental technology;
- Helped fellow colleagues or passed their skills on to apprentices;
- Gone the extra mile to serve the public either directly within their work or an exceptional action.
DO YOU KNOW AN UNSUNG HERO?
APPLICATIONS OPEN JANUARY 2021
If you know such an individual why not nominate them to be considered for the 2021 Fellowship of the DTA? This is a prestigious award made to a handful of exceptional individuals each year in recognition of outstanding service to dental technology. Nominees need not be dental technicians, but must have shown outstanding commitment to the profession. Nominations will be considered by the DTA Council after the closing date. Applications are currently closed and will re-open early 2021.

"THIS COMES AS A TOTAL SURPRISE AND A REAL HONOUR WHEN I CONSIDER ALL THE OTHER TECHNICIANS OUT THERE DOING SUCH GREAT WORK AND THOSE EXISTING DTA FELLOWS WHO I HOLD IN VERY HIGH REGARD.
