DTA President Delroy Reeves attended the Dentistry Show London, which attracted over 4,000 visitors, 180 exhibitors, and 100 speakers, according to attendee data. The two-day event was a hub for dental professionals, with the primary focus on various lecture theatres featuring leading experts in their fields. Topics covered ranged from digital dentures and periodontology to digital dentistry, implantology, and guided surgery, offering valuable CPD hours to visitors.
Delroy visited the General Dental Council (GDC) stand, where he met with Colin McKenzie, CEO Tom Whiting, and Joan Rocastle prior to his upcoming meeting in November with Lord Toby Harris and Tom Whiting.
Pam Swain, CEO of the BADN, delivered a thought-provoking session on bullying in the workplace. Pam's presentation emphasised the impact of bullying by colleagues and professionals and explored what constitutes unacceptable behaviour in a dental setting.
Delroy also visited the MHRA stand for a quick chat, where it was revealed that further regulations affecting dental laboratories are on the agenda. Delroy requested that the DTA be included in future communications on these regulatory updates.
The next Lecture stop was to the Aesthetic & Digital Dentistry Theatre where Dr. Christopher Leech of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry took listeners on a journey sharing his insights and experiences in digital dentures showcasing some fully digital cases and some partially digital cases.
The Dentistry Show London 2024 provided insight into the evolving world of dentistry, digital technologies, and industry regulations.
