Announcement of new CEO: Oral Health Foundation

The Oral Health Foundation has announced the appointment of Andrew Hay as its new Chief Executive. Please read the statement below from Professor J Tim Newton, Chair of the Board of Trustees, for further details.

A statement from Tim Newton, Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Oral Health Foundation.

I am delighted to announce that the Board of Trustees has appointed Andrew Hay as our new Chief Executive of the Oral Health Foundation. Andrew will take up his new role on 18 January 2027.

Andrew previously served on our Board of Trustees and so has a strong understanding of the work of the Oral Health Foundation, its mission, values and strategy.

Having previously worked in the retail sector at a senior management level, Andrew brings a commercially focused, people-first approach, together with a strong emphasis on organisational development, planning and delivery.

Kerry Geldart, who stepped into the role of Interim Chief Executive, has provided continuity and stability, following the retirement of Dr Nigel Carter OBE. We would like to thank Kerry for her hard work and commitment to the Oral Health Foundation and are enormously grateful for her leadership and support during her time as Interim CEO.

Andrew and Kerry will work together to ensure a smooth transition in leadership and that the core priorities for the Oral Health Foundation remain our focus. Both Andrew and the Board are delighted that Kerry will remain with the organisation after her term as Interim CEO.

There will be plenty of opportunity to introduce Andrew properly over the coming months. For now, we wanted you to hear the news directly from us and to thank you for your continued support of the Oral Health Foundation.
