As the professional body for UK dental technicians and clinical dental technicians, we are raising concerns over the current categorisation of dental technicians in the UK's occupational statistics released by the UK Government Department for Education in 2024. The DTA has identified that dental technicians are being grouped with medical technicians, which does not accurately reflect the unique challenges and demands of the dental technician profession.
