Does professional regulation need you?
By DTA | 4th May 2021 | News
The UK Government are seeking views on proposals to reform the regulation of healthcare professionals. Here is a once in a lifetime opportunity to help DTA get the Dental Technologists voice heard at the heart of government by joining the Department for Health and Social Care online consultation.
You must respond by end of day 15th June 2021. Your response could indicate to the government that although a small group, compared with say the Medical Nurses at 725,000 registrants, Dental Technicians need to continue to be recognised as professionals.
We urge all Dental Technicians to go onto the consultation and give Dental Technologists a voice by mentioning your profession in a few of your responses.
Head of GDC Policy and Research Programme, Rebecca Cooper, has been looking at the proposals for the reforms to the governance and operating framework outlined in the consultation, such as the future make up of the GDC, in the first of a series of blog posts
You can find out more about the regulatory reform proposals on the GDC website .
