Have your say on the GDC's proposed Framework for Professionalism

The General Dental Council (GDC) is inviting dental professionals to learn more about its proposed Framework for Professionalism, which is intended to replace the current Standards for the Dental Team ("the silver book").

As part of the consultation, the GDC is hosting two free online engagement sessions, providing an overview of the proposals followed by an opportunity to ask questions and share initial feedback. Both sessions cover the same content, so you only need to attend one.

Session dates:

• Monday 13 July, 3:30pm
• Wednesday 5 August, 3:30pm

The DTA has been involved throughout the stakeholder engagement process, representing the interests of dental technologists. We encourage members to attend one of these sessions and take the opportunity to contribute to the consultation before it closes on 31 August 2026.

Places are free but must be booked in advance (unless you have already registered directly with the GDC).
