Job Vacancy: Lecturer in Dental Technology

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the School of Dentistry for a Lecturer in Dental Technology to support the teaching of Prosthodontics and Dental Technology within the BDS and Clinical Dental Technology programmes.

The successful applicant must be a qualified and experienced Dental Technician, registered with the General Dental Council. The role will involve lecturing and the teaching of Dental Technology theory and skills to whole dental team.

The successful applicant will have experience of work-based teaching and have knowledge and application of online learning methods. You will also have recent experience of at least two of the following areas of dental technology: Prosthetics, ceramics, cast metals, orthodontic appliances.

The successful applicants will also be expected to contribute to the wider activities of the School and University in teaching, learning, assessment, research and income generation. Teaching experience (ideally in Higher Education) is essential as is a first degree, teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake University PGCE on appointment).
