New council members

The DTA elections officially closed on 1st May 2021. From this three new council members and one new student representative have been elected. We look forward to their continued support and welcome them and their ideas to the DTA. We are delighted to announce the following

David Etchells

David Etchells has been a dental technician since 1986 gaining a BTEC in Dental Technology in 1991 from Manchester Polytechnic. He has worked at Heybridge Orthodontic Lab all his working life. David took over the lab in 2019.

Dominika Krowiarz 

Dominika qualified as a dental technician in Poland 2011, then studied for a BSc in Promotion of Health. After moving to the UK Dominika began working as a dental technician in Phoenix Dental Casting, specialising in removable prosthetics.

Early 2020 Dominika opened her own dental laboratory, Dentika Solutions in Bristol. Shortly after looking to expend her business acquired Clifton Dental Ceramics, with a vision to enhance the dental technician profession and and build a stronger more recognisable brand within industry.

David Caufield 

David began working as a dental technician when he left school in 1999 and then, after a short spell in the Royal Navy, he returned back to the dental world in 2005 and began his dental qualification through Telford College, Edinburgh.

After progressing to manage the chrome cobalt department at T. A. Gardner's Dental Laboratory, He now manages a digitally focused in-house lab at Newlifeteeth Dental Clinic, Belfast. In which they specialise in "All on X" implant restorations and for the past 3 years David has had the pleasure of working with the cutting edge of dental equipment and technology.

David is looking forward to contributing to the DTA as a council member and promoting the organisation across Northern Ireland and beyond.

Irina Greidane

Irina is based in South-East London. She is a first-year student at the Lambeth College (L3 BTEC Extended Diploma Dental Technology). Soon after the commencement of this course Irina started her training within a dental laboratory.

Irina is looking forward to being a part of the "dental technology world" and being the voice of Dental Technology Students.
