Not Fine, Actually’: Webinar to Tackle Mental Health in Dentistry
By Nightshift Dentaltech | 19th October 2026 | News
Dental professionals are invited to join "Not Fine, Actually", a mental health webinar taking place on 6th November, exploring the pressures of working in the dental industry and the importance of speaking openly about mental health.
The webinar will bring together a dental technician and a mental health counsellor, who are husband and wife, to discuss key issues affecting mental wellbeing, including burnout, stress, imposter syndrome and the pressures faced by those working in the profession.
The initiative aims to encourage open conversations about mental health and help normalise asking for support. In an industry where stress and pressure can often be accepted as part of everyday working life, the webinar hopes to challenge this mindset and encourage a more supportive approach to wellbeing.
All proceeds raised through the webinar will be donated to Mind and CALM, two UK mental health charities working to support people experiencing mental health difficulties.
Recognising that not everyone will be able to attend live, the webinar will also be recorded and made available to watch at a convenient time for up to one year, allowing more dental professionals to access the discussion.
The organisers hope the event will reach as many dental technicians and other dental professionals as possible, helping to break down stigma, encourage conversations and remind people that they do not have to face workplace pressures alone.
