The GDC publishes Enhanced CPD documents

The first phase of the GDC's developing approach to CPD – EnhancedContinuing Professional Development (ECPD) will commencefor dental technicians and other dental care professionals in August 2018. Enhanced CPD guidance documents – including the GDC's Personal Development Plan (PDP) template and examples of its use, an activity log template and examples of its use and ECPD guidance for CPD providers – were published last month and are now available on the GDC website: https://www.gdc-uk.org/professionals/cpd/enhanced-cpd

The Department of Health launch consultation

The Department of Health have launched a consultation called "promoting professionalism, reforming regulation" which is looking for views on proposals to reform the regulation system for healthcare professions in the UK.The proposed model of professional regulation aims to secure public trust, improve clinical practice and adapt to developments in healthcare. The responses to the consultation will allow the government to consider future options for the development of regulation of healthcare professionals in the UK. Bracon opens a new training and education centre
