President's Blog - March 2018
Hello and welcome to my final President's blog.
Scottish Dental Show
The Scottish Dental Show will be taking place at Braehead Arena in Glasgow on 27 and 28 April 2018 and I will be lecturing at the event for the first time. My presentation will be about orthognathic model surgery and wafer preparation but this is just one of more than 50 speaker sessions and workshops. Perhaps I'll see you there! Register to attend the show here:
Dental Technology Showcase (DTS)
It's not too late to book your place at the DTS, which returns to Hall 5 of the NEC in Birmingham on 18 and 19 May 2018. This event is an excellent opportunity to gain CPD and has an exhibition with more than 80 exhibitors, not forgetting the DTA on stand H09!Visit http://www.the-dts.co.uk/ for further information and register your interest here:
New DTA President
On 10 March I attended my last DTA council meeting as President and I am very pleased to announce that Delroy Reeves has been elected as my successor. Delroy has been a hardworking DTA council member since 2011 and I know he will be a fantastic President.
The last two years have passed by so quickly and it has been a pleasure and a privilege to serve as DTA President. The role gave me a greater insight into just how hard this professional body works for its members and I'd like to say a very big thank you to Sue Adams and the whole DTA team for their continued hard work and support.
Finally, I'd like to say thank you to each and every one of our members for continuing to support your professional body and I'd like to ask any dental technicians who are yet to join to do so! The DTA really is a "one stop shop" for all the professional help and support a dental technician could need and I'm certain you won't regret signing up:
