Ten Reasons to Join the DTA
1. The Technologist
The Technologist is a printed publication, written specifically for members, and is published four times a year. Each issue contains peer-reviewed verifiable CPD, including those all important recommended subjects. With up to five hours of CPD per issue, members can be confident they can meet the GDC requirements.
2. Articulate e-journal
Articulate is an e-journal and is emailed to members four times per year. The e-journal keeps members up to date with the latest news and also provides verifiable CPD.
3. Continuing professional development (CPD)
DTA members can access verifiable CPD via The Technologist and Articulate. DTA members can access a Personal Development Plan and Log Book in the members area of the website. The Log Book updates when a CPD exercise has been completed.
4. Indemnity insurance
DTA has linked with UK Special Risks to provide cost effective professional indemnity insurance for members.
This website provides members with instant access to a range of information, including news and events, back issues of our publications, CPD and guidance documents on a wide range of topics.
6. Show your commitment to your profession
Dental technicians who are members of DTA and registered with the General Dental Council (GDC) can use the post nominal of 'Member of the Dental Technologists Association' and add the initials MDTA after their name.
7. Information sheets
Advice sheets on a variety of topics are available to members on this website or by email.
